What XML formats, languages and layouts do you support?
We can publish NISO STS, ISO STS and DocBook in any language, including those, such as Arabic, which are written from right to left.
We support these layouts “out of the box”:
- ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC (complying with the requirements of ISO/IEC Directives Part 2)
- UN CENTRE FOR TRADE FACILITATION AND E-BUSINESS (UN/CEFACT)
- OASIS Standard and Committee Note
And we can publish the content for print, web browser and mobile devices in PDF, HTML and EPUB formats.
Can I integrate your service into my publishing workflow?
Of course! We offer RESTful web service connections; you can find out more about these here.
How long does it take to get set up & how much does it cost?
You start publishing through our web browser almost immediately using one of our pre-built configurable cover sheet designs. We can also tailor something to meet your exact needs; the time required varies but it can be less than a week.
Integrating your IT system through our API’s usually takes 5-10 days.
Please contact us to discuss your needs and for more information about effort and costs.
How fast can you publish a standard?
Our solution is purpose-built for publishing standards from PDF, NISO STS XML & ISO STS XML. We run it on the latest cloud technology. In short, it’s the fastest solution available.
The total time taken depends on the speed of your internet connection, the size of the files you need to send us and on the number of pages and the complexity of the standard (e.g. number of tables, equations, graphics). The best way of finding this out is to contact us and try it for yourself. But here are some benchmarks for publishing some ISO standards of different size and complexity as PDFs:
|ISO 9001||28 pages, light graphics||12-15 seconds|
|ISO 19286||84 pages, figures & tables||32-35 seconds|
|ISO/IEC 14496||Almost 900 pages, heavy tables and graphics||10-11 minutes|
(Times shown are the publishing times on our platform i.e. excluding the time to send us your files or retrieve your published results.)
What publishing technologies does Setare use?
Setare uses standards-based technologies. We use a market-leading rendering engine from Antenna House and standard technologies (Java, XML, XSLT, XSL-FO) to create PDF’s. And, for EPUB and HTML, we use Java, XML, XSLT and CSS.
Where do you run your services and how are they supported?
Our services run on Microsoft’s Azure cloud solution. Unless you make other arrangements with us they run on servers that are physically located in Ireland. They are secured and managed for us by Innovate an ISO 9001 certified gold partner of Microsoft.
